Bluerass Hospitality Group Raffle Raises Nearly $49,000 for Ovarian Cancer Research

Thanks to the generosity of guests, the September Ovarian Cancer Awareness Raffle hosted by Bluerass Hospitality Group (BHG) raised $48,595 to benefit the UK Markey Cancer Center Ovarian Cancer Screening Research Program. The initiative honors the memory of co-founder Brian McCarty’s sister, Megan, and supports efforts to raise awareness and funding for ovarian cancer research in Kentucky.

BHG partnered with the Medicinal Whiskey Charity to launch the raffle, with all proceeds going toward providing free annual screenings for women across the state—an effort that could help detect ovarian cancer early, when treatment is most effective.

The raffle not only raised vital funds for life-saving research but also served as a meaningful tribute to Megan’s legacy, demonstrating the impact of community-driven initiatives in advancing healthcare and awareness.
